How to remove all Quizes and lame apps from Facebook Feed

Since poor Facebook doesn’t have a simple way to do that, it’s now possible with Greasemonkey script called Facebook Purity.

It removes all messages posted by applications to your homepage and gets rid of messages about quizes etc, basically all messages from any applications created by external developers. Just leaving messages from the original facebook apps such as status updates, wall posts, links, notes, photos, etc behind.

The latest version of the script lets you see how many app messages have been blocked, and to show or hide them again. It puts a little message in the top right hand corner of your page.

Make Facebook Live Feed more Live

Facebook is blocking all of your friends news feeds except for about 250 that they choose (not sure how that is determined).

Go to your HOME page. Make sure your feed shows LIVE FEED. Then scroll to the bottom of the page, click “Edit Options”, you will then see your LIVE FEED SETTINGS, called “News Feed Settings” (???). Change the 250 to 5000 for Facebook’s friend limit and your feed will work right again :)

Remove attending, fan, group and “now friends” messages from Facebook

Ok fellas, I’ve found a way how to remove those annoying “Is Attending”, “Became Fan”, “Joined Group,” and “Now Friends” messages from Facebook feeds!

  1. First of all – USE FIREFOX!
    Spread Firefox Affiliate Button
  2. Install Greasemonkey add-on (need to restart your browser)
It allows you to customize the way a webpage displays using small bits of JavaScript.
  3. Install this user script

That’s All!

Note that identical solution should work on Chrome, Opera and Safari too, but with a bit more tricky installation:
